What up fam. What program are u using? To get the drums to sound dirtier boost the high frequencies just a little bit. The most important thing about the drums are the drum sounds themselves. If u want a dirty drum the best thing to do is sample one off a record or use one out of a kit then tweak it. Swing is just giving your drums a little more realness to them (not having everything line up perfectly). One thing I di to get better was to try remaking other producers beats and getting them to sound as close to the original as possible.
