I started off as a DJ. I got some inheritance money from my Grandpa and decieded I wanted to try something new. I got myself some Denon CD decks and a Vestax mixer and began playing about with some tracks and working on the odd remix. That got me more interested in how beats were made and actually producing a record. So I then invested in a Boss SP-505 sampler and got started. With that sampler, I created my first ever beat, Gun Law. That was enough to get me hooked. So I kept working on the Boss and learning the basics. Eventually, I got Reason 3 and started working with that too. With Reason I started getting some tracks together and they started to have a more musical feel and started sounding more and more complete. I then upgraded my sampler and got my first MPC. I got the MPC2000XL. This is where my game changed. I fell in love with MPC's from then on. I got myself a decent turntable and began diggin in the crates and started to learn the basics of sampling. Once I got my mixing desk, and I upgraded from the MPC 2000XL to the MPC 2500, I then got a basic understanding of how to mix down a beat and layering sounds, as well as stepping up my sampling skills, the beats just came together, and that's what you can hear on this page. My main influances are producers like Just Blaze, 9th Wonder, Ron Browz, Havoc, Dre, Shawty Redd, Kanye West and DJ premier. But the guy I look up to the most is The Alchemist. He is a seriously understated producer and one of the most talented samplers and diggers out there. Since I have started making beats, I have submitted to some of the following artists and labels: G Unit, Young Jeezy, D Block, Def Jam, Swisha House, The Game/The Blackwall Street, Shady Records, Nas, Memphis Bleek...and loads more to come. I hope you like what I've been working on and any feedback is always greatly appreciated.
