Hacienda Hacienda
Ambient strings, layered vocals, and industrial noises swirling around an electronica soundscape, hip-hop rhythms, and pulsing bassline.
A rampage of contorted vocals shift sporadically from an intense primal scream to a docile whisper; energetic and determined power chords deteriorate into a melodic synthesizer line; entire passages exist only to be engulfed by a barrage of static and the cacophony of skull-crushing beats; 70s glam intermixed with 80s alternative; 90s pop mangled around old school hip-hop; the attitude and mentality of punk methodically manipulated by the technology of today; this is AVENPITCH.
The following is an interview with Todd Millenacker and David Miller of Avenpitch.Band/artist history
David: Four minds, one band. We woke up one day and simply couldn't resist the urge to do our part and throw ourselves against the wall of rock and roll.Your musical influences
Todd: The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Prick, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, New Order, Depeche Mode, The The, Guns N Roses, etc This list is already too long.
David: Musical influences? Lots of people. Devo, Borghesia, Severed Heads, Fact 22 are the biggest. What equipment do you use?
David: Our hands, sometimes our feet. No helmets or pads, we're not wimps.Anything else?
Todd: Thank you for listening.
