We started playing covers in coffee shops and the like while we were both still in College. Then in December 2005 we decided to write a few songs and record them in my basement...mmm very garage band esq.
For a while we went by the name "Marc and Lauren", but eventually in summer 2006 we decided on Autumn's Rest. With the advent of a new name came the developement of a new website.Have you performed in front of an audience? We love to play live:

Very nice touch to this song! The vocals blend in so nice and smooth with the guitar!
Neat I'm glad I found you two! Real nice and well recorded. This is a great song!
Hello,
Certain rhythms catch me, and "Dim" has one of these. I put it on my station because I enjoyed it.
Small ideas were you ever to re-record:
1) Lift the bass playing...felt it could pop in there more loudly, as it first kicks in, and then throughout after that.
2) At about 2:20 where vocals stop for a bit, a wailing sax, or harmonica, or slide guitar, or some such mournful sound could lend itself well...same comment at about 3:40.
Overall, I dig the musical build as it develops...at first only rhythm guitar and vocals, then later bass added, then some guitar soloing kicks in. Very nice.
3) The musical tone and cadence of the song seems to suggest a Texas/Western sort of gritty/sad/despair type of thing-a-ma-jig, thus the song craves a rhythm section of additional voices, perhaps a male voice or two filling the bass end of things at certain junctures. You could also think of other instruments that fill those lower registers (or at least fill out the bass guitar already
