A.T.G. ( Alexander The Great ) is an 18 year old producer, and rapper born and raised in New Britain, Connecticut. At the age of 15, Alex began to make beats as a hobby. He played beats for his friends and family, and started to take it seriously when he received praise for his beats. 3 years later, he continues to grow as a producer, and rapper. Alex has participated in, and won, in online beat battles, and his production requested by local artists.
Hes a marvelous mix of Kanye, Just Blaze, The Neptunes, and DJ Premier, with a bit of Lil Jon sprinkled on top. When using samples creatively as opposed to looping breaks and adding percussion, but can also produce original tracks using fresh melodic techniques, and thumping drums.. Alexs style is versatile.
Alex teamed up with his older cousin, Dutch Starskie, founding member of a local hip hop group, U.N.I.T., to produce, and co write several songs. Adding a young spark to the veteran team. Alex hopes to help bring the U.N.I.T. lineup to a new level of premium quality.
