Living Waters Jazz
Mid 50's thru 60's style jazz combo piece. Trumpet sax demo's the melody and solo section. Surprise Song is a Play-along where you play the melody along with the accompaniment track available at www.livingwatersjazz.com
Like Daniel's vision from the Book Of Daniel the melody is haunting as well as inspiring. Full compliment of LWJ personnel (2 trumpets, 2 trombones, 3 saxes - rhythm).
Features muted trumpet on melody with tbone, 2 saxes (alto & tenor) with rhythm as accompaniment. Guitar solos in the middle.
Upbeat swing tempo with melodic bouncey feel. Instrumental. Living Waters Jazz takes a deviation from its usual personnel for a smaller dance band compliment.
A bouncy happy tune with that old time Swing feel to it. Fast pace. 1st chair trombone takes the melody and then solos followed by a vibraphone solo with the melody reintroduced to a bouncy finish.
Latin Swing. Features lengthy trombone, alto sax and trumpet solos. Laid back tune.
Snappy tune featuring a trumpet solo openeing and then the alto sax on melody and solo and a piano solo which follows ending up in a reprise of the melody. Bossa Nova in style Praising His Way plays a little over 4 minutes.
A sassy strut featuring the trumpets playing the melody. Features flute and trombone solo. Very busy tune.
Original tune and lyrics by Muffit (L. Meinecke) arranged and rendered for the Living Waters Jazz by myself. Vocal is performed by David Bentley. Nice ballad easy swing number with a 'latinesque' touch to it.
30's Art Deco style of Jazz Swing. A melodic and melancholy atmospheric ballad combining combo techniques with big band compliment. This is a short tune to contrast the more up-tempo songs.
Haunting melody with a swing beat played by solo trumpet. Solos by trumpet, alto sax, and soli brass. Volga Boatmen style.
Fast, opener type. Modern jazz type tune. Another great song by Rhesa Siregar arranged for the Living Waters Jazz Ensemble.
Moody jazz. Contemporary subtle jazz flavoring. Rhesa plays the vibes and bass on this one.
Upbeat and lively. Trombones carry the melody as saxes dart playfully in about the melody. Features trombone and drum solos.
Lighthearted upbeat tune fit for a small lounge with solos coming from piano, trombone, trumpet, sax and guitar. Coffeehouse Jazz also features a brief sax soli and a separate brass soli.
Broadway-ish children's song. Lively and a bit peppy at a mild tempo. Child (played by the Xylophone) duels with parent (brass) over getting a cookie or not. Of course the child wins and the brass exits playing the kids theme.
Uptempo Jazz tone poem featuring Alto Sax, Trombone, Harmonica solo. I say poem because each verse-chorus was reflective of a new day's events from waking up (triangle) to mid day (brassy end section).
Tropical ballad for Big Band featuring mini solos for Alto Sax and Trombone and an extended Tenor Sax solo. Originally written and arranged in 2013 by Rich Garber. Remixed and slightly re-arranged in 2016.
Christian Big Band latin-jazz tune featuring flute solo. Catchy melody, lively, originally written in the early 2000s. Sweet Surrender has been slightly revisited with a new mix in 2016.
Glory In the Clouds is an older tune I had done in the early 2000's re-mixed. Features a Chicago-like soli, alto sax and flute solo as well as a short duel between two trumpets to finish the song. Uptempo, catchy melody and a driving rhythm.
