The Sea Beat (unfinished) The Sea Beat (unfinished)
unfinished, needs vocals, etc etc. This is the poppiest thing I've ever written. There's lots of potential in those chords, I dun reckon. Pap, ultimately.
Fog Fog
Samples and effects and a really quick mouse cursor to change sounds. Chopping drums live is hard - and obviously doesn't work in this track...I'll change that soon. Cloudy joy :)
Intuition: Playthrough Prototype I Intuition: Playthrough Prototype I
Hannah Parks playing the piano and losely (creatively) interpreting the algorithmically-generated score. I then treated the recording electronically. This is an updated/new version (as of 12/15/03).
Theme from Masquerade for Chamber Ensemble Theme from Masquerade for Chamber Ensemble
This is a MIDI mock-up of an arrangement for Vibraphone (Celesta here), Violin, Viola, 2 Clarinets and Flute. I had it performed once, but it wasn't that good and the recording is terrible. So here's the mock-up version!
Ichi Ichi
Daev + me = a new electro-acoustic group called Sergei Popov. This is our first piece. Our process: live and improvised, no sequncing, mixed while we perform.
For Yuki For Yuki
The second piece for Sergei Popov (Daev and I). We have several different recordings of this (all different) but this is probably my current favorite. We played this at an electroacoustic concert recently called "Oscillations", it was excellent.
Seveneves Drunken Version (preliminary rough mix) Seveneves Drunken Version (preliminary rough mix)
good times...good times Daev recorded and mixed this. Back-up vocals by Daev, Mel, and Hawaii-Clive-O.
Masquerade End Title Masquerade End Title
The main theme/end title from the Pat Blackie film "Masquerade" (which happened to just win best short film at the Atlantic Film Festival). Piano performance by the wonderful Hannah Parks.
