The Mushroom Man

Fire Fire

Slow Death Slow Death
I planned a few lines of lyrics, but not sure if I'll get around to recording those. It's all about the guitar anyway. Compared to my previous work, this is shorter and simpler, but a bit heavier as well.

Life ~ A Faraway Promise Life ~ A Faraway Promise
Cover of "Life ~ A Faraway Promise" from the game Chrono Cross, originally composed by Yasunori Mitsuda. Also known as "Life ~ A Distant Promise." The beginning melody is a pattern that is essentially required to finish the game completely.

Back Bending Backwards Back Bending Backwards
Imagine a song being played forwards for just over two minutes, then being played backwards at 4x the speed. That's what this is.

Memory Lapse Memory Lapse
Heavier than most of my songs, but still one of the more accessible ones just because it actually clocks in under 5 minutes. The vocals need to be redone, especially the beginning. Some nice polyrhythm towards the end though.

Instrumental for the Deaf Instrumental for the Deaf
The instrumental version of Song for the Deaf. For those who want 19 minutes of uninterrupted guitar playing... or just don't like bad vocals.

Conversations Conversations
This is the all-instrumental bridge of Song for the Deaf, for those who like their music alittle softer, for those who consider 5 minutes to be a long song, and most of all, for those who can't wait 13 minutes to listen to a reverse-guitar solo.

Lost Fragments (Acoustic) Lost Fragments (Acoustic)
A variation of the "Scars of Time" theme from the game Chrono Cross. This composition was always very acoustic guitar-heavy already, so arranging it wasn't too much of a stretch. I might still do "Scars of Time" in the future.

Another World (Acoustic) Another World (Acoustic)
The acclaimed theme to the "other" overworld in Chrono Cross, the soundtrack widely considered Yasunori Mitsuda's best work, arranged for solo acoustic.

Robotnik (Acoustic) Robotnik (Acoustic)
An arrangement of the Robotnik theme from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. This is definitely on the faster side of all my various acoustic arrangements.

Stone Tower Temple (Acoustic) Stone Tower Temple (Acoustic)
This is a song composed by Koji Kondo for the Nintendo 64 video game, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. This is a dark tune with powerful melodies. One of my few acoustic arrangements where I actually drum the guitar.

Song of Storms (Acoustic) Song of Storms (Acoustic)
An acoustic arrangement of Song of Storms originally composed by Koji Kondo for the video game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. A rather fast 3/4 time composition with beautiful melodies.

Fallen Angel (demo) Fallen Angel (demo)
This is a cover of the 1975 King Crimson song Fallen Angel off their album Red. Unfortunately I don't really have time to do more of the song and put my own style into it, so I only did the end of the song (the last 2 minutes) and added only a little

A Despair-Filled Farewell A Despair-Filled Farewell
This is a cover of the music composed by Koh Otani from Shadow of the Colossus. It is the music that plays during Avion as well as some of the more infamously frustrating colossi. A very energetic, heavy song. And yes, I did draw the picture.

What's This 'Ocean' You Speak Of? What's This 'Ocean' You Speak Of?
Stare into the face of a big blue wave, you realize nothing can stop it, nothing can keep it from crashing down, yet all that will remain is the sliding sheet of water. - Use of the capo is dedicated to Angie Dwyer.

HumaN+erRor v0.25b HumaN+erRor v0.25b
Still missing solos, vocals, and an even MORE elaborate ending, this has been the primary focus of my composing for the past year. Contains probably the softest and loudest sections of music I've come up with.

R.I.P. R.I.P.
Four years in the making, this song .... MIGHT finally be done. There are many differences from the original, an expanded atmospheric instrumental and electronic vocals, yet the powerful narrative remains intact.

Achilles Last Stand - Live Demo v0.1b Achilles Last Stand - Live Demo v0.1b
Yes, still in beta stages. It didn't turn out perfectly but I just wanted to test out the stuff and I'll be practicing more. I think I'll need to add a solo proceeding the final build up, and work out some volume balancing.

Zeal Kingdom (Acoustic) Zeal Kingdom (Acoustic)
This is a cover of Zeal Kingdom from the SNES game Chrono Trigger originally composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, performed on solo acoustic guitar. I've always seen this as a really easy going, like new-age meets 60's acid-rock or something. Then again, wh
