This song was composed from neurons recorded in humans, during slow-wave sleep. The inhibitory neurons form the rhythmic sections, while excitatory neurons drive the melodic parts. We used slow sound envelopes to incarnate the slow wave of sleep.

Spikiss - Wake Beats Spikiss - Wake Beats
Music created from recordings of brain activity in a human subject during wakefulness. The first part is made by associating sounds to the neural signals, the second part uses "loops" from periods where the activity was very rhythmic.
