Icarus' Journey - WIP Icarus' Journey - WIP
This is a completed WIP, in the sense that the piece's outline is complete, as well as a lot of the instrument mixing. At this stage, I'm awaiting drums and guitar parts from two other musicians.
Phase II Drift -Double Improv Phase II Drift - *Double Improv*
The title comes from this mood the music relays to me of drifting gently into a new stage of life, embracing it with the open serenity of peaceful acceptance.
DemiGoddess of the Snow -Improv DemiGoddess of the Snow - *Improv*
Another piano improv, which turned out to be very visual for me.
Swimming Through the Stars -Improv Swimming Through the Stars - *Improv*
There's one theme in there I really need to retire, as I've used it in a couple other pieces, but it's just so much fun to play. Too bad for me about that raw note at 3:15. Otherwise, I think this turned out rather well.
Lost Roads - WIP Lost Roads - WIP
This is a new piece for jazz combo I'm working on. I'm debating whether I should throw in some horns, or just leave it as a rhythm section trio (piano, bass, and drums which have yet to be added).
One (or more) Note Samba -Improv One (or more) Note Samba - *Improv*
Lonely Winterlude -Improv Lonely Winterlude - *Improv*
Relax, and picture a quiet evening in your own home, alone, the snow falling outside, the fire crackling quietly in the fireplace as you simply do whatever it is you do by yourself to pass the time in a slightly mournful solitude.
Ocean's Permutation -Effects Improv Ocean's Permutation - *Effects Improv*
This is something somewhat new I was toying around with--I've done it before, but this is the first time I've recorded such a thing.
Mvt. 8 - Hopes of Snow - Symphony no. 1: Ainessa Mvt. 8 - Hopes of Snow - Symphony no. 1: Ainessa
The only completed movement (well, it still needs to be orchestrated properly--this is just a slim chamber wind orchestration of the piece) of my first symphony...which I seriously need to work on...inspired by Tracy Butler's story, "Ainessa."
Con Dolorido Cuidado Con Dolorido Cuidado
The piece is originally for alto voice, cello, and pianist, but for this recording, I wasn't able to get a cellist and had to substitute with a bass clarinet.
The Life of a Star The Life of a Star
Here is a work that was actually composed jointly by me and Joel Daniel Love III.
