So I finally got a chance to bounce some tracks to tape and wow, compression mania! It's kind of pumping but I think it sounds cool. I might have made the master a bit bright but whatever, that's how they are on the radio anyways haha.

This was my final for Studio Audio Engineering 2. We were given the Pro Tools session and had to mix it to red book standards (mastered with tRacks, oZone, and Steinberg Wavelab 7). I did some very heavy editing with it and a lot of drum replacement.

I wrote this song (the whole this is actually about 6mins long) back in 2008-09 and now I have the tools to make it sound awesome, the full thing should be done by March! Also, keep in mind this is VERY rough, mix AND arrangement/transition wise.

Mastered with iZotope Ozone4 and T-RackS 3, heading in the right direction, when I get stupid Superior Drummer working it should really be a huge step in the right direction. Also, the Axe-Fx should help in the future when doing guitars.

This, in my mind, is almost the perfect acoustic guitar tone. This is just one mono track with NO equalizers, no compressors, and no plugins. Just a favorite vintage mic of mine straight into a Focusrite isa.
