My goal as a songwriter is to capture a moment in time that so perfectly describes where one is at, they can't help but be enamored by the song they hear. I ne

Last Chance Last Chance

there is a pivotal moment for some people who are searching for God. it really hinges on the response they get from someone who's grounded in faith. this song describes the desperation one feels, and tries to capture the seriousness of the situation.

Who I Am Who I Am

this is the struggle over being content with who u are as a person. i believe we should strive and hope to become better then we are, and that the trials of life can be used to change us for the better. it's a long hard wait sometimes though.

A Man Without Hope A Man Without Hope

this song is about settling somewhere on the action side of faith, while still retaining the actual feelings of what one is going through. i believe being brutally honest with yourself and God, is where u will find the strongest faith.

Christian Country

When Jesus went into the temple to drive out the priests making money off the people, he took a whip with him. I'd like to be as effective as that whip. I'd like to see the music I write allow people to take the mask off, and the junk that's in their eyes, to see the world, God, and themselves in a different way. A real way. Something that isn't tainted by religion, image, and false impressions. I would really like to develop a band, but mostly I just want people to have a chance to hear what I'm about.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I'd like to play more, but right now I'm focusing on fine tuning what I've got, and getting some good recordings.
Your musical influences
a whole lot of country music forced down my ears from grade school through high school, 90's rock-especially the heavier stuff. what I like? Rodney Atkins, Seventh Day Slumber, Skillet, Matchbox 20, Daughtry, Very selective Country songs (yes, i like Carrie Underwood)...really like some Lifehouse songs, Goo Goo Dolls, Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns (huge), Rich Mullins (great songwriter)...not really sure who I sound like though.
What equipment do you use?
i don't have much...a lot of what I use is borrowed. I've had nice guitars, but I've had to sell them at one point or another. I use a cheap Les Paul imitation, and usually try and borrow an acoustic to play live. I do have a Line6 LiveX3 effects pedal that is off the charts awesome! That gives me amp, cab, and multiple pedal models that make that cheap guitar sound spectacular!
Anything else?
i do have to give tribute to Ben Wells for really sparking my interest in music, especially the electric guitar (although I still can't play that well). I love a good blues riff (that's an understatement). also, my mom. she didn't like to talk much, but she loved her music. it was like she could feel it so deep it was grounding her to something she could never quite reach. my brother too. they are my real motivation for doing what i do. I guess i hope to reach them somehow with music, since I can't seem to with words and actions (not to the extent I'd like to). I really just desire people to truly experience God. Not a false representation of something we've imagined, but the real deal. I believe He can change their lives (on the inside). The problem is, we don't really see our need for Him. Doubt, lies, fear...so many obsticles. I like to tear things like that down by facing head on, not ignoring it and singing a happy song to make us feel good. If we find God, we will feel good. I promise. I've been there. I know what I'm talking about.
