Zy-On, also known as Akande Davis, brings about a new flavor of Hip Hop, something not tasted for some time; originality and presence. Often are radio singles watered down and played out, lacking the raw pride and authenticity seen in the founders of our Hip Hop music movement. At age 14, Zy-On began transforming into what he has become today, originally known as Educate then as Kande, and now, Zy-On. The term Zy-On comes from the Hebrew word Zion which translates to Highest Point; Kande aiming to achieve such a goal with his influential music and aura. With a powerful delivery, lyrics that are only tamed by a balance of skill and timing, to a conceptual mind, Zy-On is the future of the Hip Hop industry. Zy-On, formerly known as Kande, has done projects and songs with the following highly regarded artists and DJs; Billy Danze (M.O.P- Ante Up), St. Laz (Pottersfield), Hoss (Street Sweepers Ent.), Tha Tzar (Torontos Mixtape Boss), DJ Scarface (T-Dots DJ), DJ ItzAWrap (Canadian DJ), Source Beatz (Premier UK Production Team), and Xav-Y (Douglas Arizonas Own). Zy-On has also released 2 solo mixtape projects; New Hustle Hosted by: Tha Tzar, and Resolution Hosted by: Tha Tzar. He has also collaborated on four independent projects; Almost Superb: New Heights, Almost Perfect: The Superb, Hip Hop Is Alive: New Heights, Kande vs. Reespekt: Hosted by Tha Tzar, Heaven On Earth: Hosted by Tha Tzar, Love My Pain hosted by DJ Mynd Tek, and now Zy Volume 1. The Freshman hosted by DJ Mynd Tek. With over 20 live performances, ZyOn has been known to move a crowd and is also an excellent stage entertainer and MC.
