Frankly speaking i was not a big fan of assamese songs untill i heard tumar baabe. I would rate the 1st song tumar baabe on 3 grounds( coz i would have no idea about the intricacies of song making.). It is melodious hence soothing to the ear. 2ndly it starts off with a very pleasant guitar tone ( unknowingly my feet starts tapping to match the rhythm :) ) and throughout the song it carries the pleasant tone.
The song is simply refreshing to the mind. It is really Hummable and the lyrics is very romantic. The lyricist is certainly in love while writing the song.( He would be lying if he says no.) lol. Hey i just happen to look on the album to check the lyricist. it says Kenny :) ok coming back to the song i like it when it picks up and goes high. very tuneful music. i would rate 9 out of 10. outstanding.
2nd song lyrics is kind of funny cause we have so many such real life scenarios back home. Im sure it must be a hit amongst the youngsters, especially the college goers and actually
