Band/artist history
I've been playing since age 7. I've been in bands on and off over the years. I performed as a street musician in Boston for a few years. (It's COLD in the winters!) Performed in coffee houses as a solo artist and many different bars and venues while in a group. I've been writing songs on and off since I was a teenager.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes. I started in high school doing coffee houses and small events/venues. In college, I earned spending money by performing as a street musician in Boston doing mostly folk music: Bob Dylan, Woodie Guthrie, CSNY. As I child I began practicing in the basement of my mom's house. I bought my first Tascam PortaStudio with money that I earned painting houses. I dubbed the basement studio "Neutron Sound," a name that I've taken with me where ever I've lived.
Your musical influences
Neil Young and Bob Dylan were my earlier influences. More recently I've been into Counting Crows, Wallflowers, Jack Johnson, John Mayer.
What equipment do you use?
Ibanez rare woods acoustic and Fender Telecoustic. For electric work, I have an impressive collection of USA made Reverend and Steinberger guitars. I use a Digitech pedal board and a B-52 AT-100 head run through a Peavey 6505 cab loaded with Sheffields.
