Hey! Welcome to the home page. I'm Marcus and I'm kind of the front man for the group. I play rhythm guitar and do lead vocals. We're basically a small time band consisting of a two guitar players, and a bass player. We are in search of drummer right now that can dedicate the time we need to make us sound good. We are relatively new at our respective instuments with myself on starting the guitar in June of 2003, and Steve starting the bass in July 2003.Band/artist history
Basically, the band formed around August of 2003. I was just learning the guitar, and that sparked Steve to want to learn the bass. He borrowed one from a friend and we started messing around a little in his basement playing basic chord structures. It sparked my musical dreams and I started writing out some songs. We worked on them, and Mind the Gap was formed.Have you performed in front of an audience?Right now, we are looking to start playing live at small venues. We could use a drummer to do this, but we haven't done anything for money. We have played a few times for some friends and they seem to dig us.
Your musical influences
I would have to say that I look at John Mayer as the type of guitar player I would like to be. I like his style and his music. I'm also a big fan of Pearl Jam, Our Lady Peace, and Stone Temple Pilots. But, I think that Mayer has the most influence in my music writing. What equipment do you use?
Guitars by Squire, and Ibanez. Bass by Ibanez. Amps by Crate, and Fender. PA by Kustom. Effects by DigitecContact
