D-809 is a new breed of Dominican Hip-Hop. Formed in early 2009 in Toronto, Canada the three friends came together to show their city how to do real Dominican rap. There's very few Dominican rappers out in Toronto, and there is very few doing what is being done in their native Dominican Republic. They've just come to prove something, literally startin from nothing. There hopes is to start a new movement in Toronto of not only Dominican Hip-Hop, but also Latino/Spanish Hip-Hop.Have you performed in front of an audience?Rigjt now we're just in the grinding stages. Trying to get our music out there. We know what we're doing is very hard because its not a genre that is getting a lot of main stream play. Also we know we're mainly targeting one group of audience which is the Spanish speaking community, but we our doing our best efforts to get the English speaking audience into our material.
