Music just speaks to me in a way a movie could never do. All that raw emotion that comes with a song. The expression of feelings thru words. Lyrical Wordplay. Twisting words to say what you want them too when they probably shouldn't be saying that at all. That is music. I love Music. It didn't really infect me til I was like 8 or 9 tho. I just never grew up on it. I remember it like it was yesterday tho. Back in 96-98, all the artists that were insanely huge. Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Smash Mouth, Creed, and alot more but if I listed them all, I would go over my bandwidth. It was insane. I got stuck in the Pop Era but that was the direction of where I was, plus I was in Elementary School so what else would I have known to listen too? I remember the first time I have ever heard a rap song tho. That day was amazing. I was sitting on my computer at my Mom's new house. I was watching MTV's TRL back when they actually played Music Videos to their full capacity. I never really paid attention to it, it was just background noise. I heard the beat. Some guy was walking in an alley, all of a sudden starts rapping, "Yall know me, same ol G, but I been low key." That triggered something in me. I loved the sound of it. The wordplay, how it flowed with the beat seamlessly. It was amazing. Then I heard the chorus and the next verse by Eminem. I was hooked on Rap. Eminem is by far my Favorite Artist. He is amazing with his lyrics, his concepts, his visions, everything. No one can touch him. I am an upcoming Artist. I have some songs out, other songs are just verses to get what I needed to get said out of me. I write all the time. I freestyle all the time to see how I can rhyme words differently, or get some lines that otherwise I wouldn't thought of. The best things that come out of your mouth are the things you don't really intend to say sometimes. I love freestyling even tho I doubt I am that good at it. It is like a test for my mind. See if I can make it keep up with the beat, actually sound good, not just a bunch of words mashed together. That is how I write most of my songs honestly. Or if I am rapping about a topic, I will write down a line and freestyle after that line. Then I can go in and fix what I need too. The CD I am working on is called "Jake 2.0 The Upgrade - The New Beginning."
