LoveChild embody accesible melodic tunes and energetic slideshows...often flat out
The founders of LoveChild were guitarist Luke Mathers and singer David McClean, who having had considerable solo success in the BBC Demo Derby had decided that the prospects of continuing solo were limited and had decided to get a full band together. Luke was at a similar stage and had been playing with musicians for a long while previous to find the right people, so they made it a joint venture.
Hope You Have a Lovely Day was finished in January 2003, at Manor Park. Later "the Siren" was finished on 27th April 03.
The band underwent a number of changes, Chris Maitland then joined as bassist and went ahead and recorded "The Siren", both these songs have since been featured on a number of radio stations. Rodger Firmin joined as drummer.
