Soulfire is not just another Christian rock band. Their desire is to take the message of Jesus Christ anywhere and everywhere God leads them. Soulfire not only reflects Jesus Christ in their music but most importantly in their daily lives and actions on and off the stage. Honesty and Integrity are important parts of the band as a group and in their personal lives. Soulfire wants to build relationships through their ministry and not be confined to the stage. Soulfire wants to be a witness for Jesus Christ and share about his great love. Soulfire wants to be a servant for Jesus. First of all, Soulfire gives all the honor and glory to God. Soulfire wants everyone to know that they are nothing without Jesus and it is only through him that true happiness and peace can be found.
In June of 2001 God began to call a youth pastor and two other guys that were leading worship for their churches student ministry to do more with the gifts and talents he had given them. Wanting to obey God they begin to pray for God to send the right people to complete the vision for the ministry he had given them. While studying God's word and praying they came across the scripture Jeremiah 20:9 - " And I can't stop, If I say I'll never mention the Lord or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It is like a fire in my bones! I am weary of holding it in." From this scripture the name Soulfire was born.
Since that time Soulfire has been blessed to be used by God to share about Jesus through their ministry of music. In a day when so many Christian artists seem focused on breaking into the mainstream music scene, Soulfires desire is on Jesus and the ministry, knowing that God's will for their life is to be focused on ministry and a strong outreach.
Soulfire's music and lyrics focus on real life issues that affect people whether they are a Christian or not and offer the only solution, Jesus Christ. Soulfires music is a mixture of rock, alternative, and worship. Their music is comparable to Seventh Day Slumber, Kutless, and Justified. One thing that seperates Soulfire from other bands is that they believe praise and worship is a vital part of their ministry and believe in combining it into each concert they perform.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes we do. We play as often as possible. We have opened for the nationaly known band Seventh Day Slumber.
