All Or Nothing All Or Nothing
This is usually our set finisher. It has all the power and energy that we are rapidly becoming known for and was a winner for us at Rock City
Skeleton Crew's style of music can best be described as the fusion of classic British rock in bands such as Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Thunder with the unmistakable AOR/glam sounds of Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, Skid Row and Bon Jovi. This amalgamation with a modern slant has put Skeleton Crew on the edge of the glam/sleaze crowd but in a niche of its own that also appeals to fans of harder rock. It is a sound apart from most in the genre. Skeleton Crew writes and performs predominantly original material but throws in the occasional classic cover.Band/artist history
Skeleton Crew was born towards the end of 2006; coming together after years of mutual admiration in different bands as well as intervals of working together on projects. All the members quickly recognised the genesis of a band with massive potential, and within the space of seven weeks the first gig was performed to a capacity crowd in Grantham. Gigging frequently throughout 2007, a set on the main stage at Nottingham's Rock City on Easter Sunday 2008 to over 1000 people cemented Skeleton Crew's name in many people's minds for their tight, powerful and engaging performance.Have you performed in front of an audience? We LIVE to play live! Skeleton Crew music is great to listen to on CD but, as with many bands, it is never a patch on the live sound and performance. We always put loads of energy in to our performances and love playing the music we love writing which is the music we love listening to.
We have played on the main stage at Rock City in Nottingham and it was quite a magical moment when our singer at the time said 'scream for me Nottingham' and over 1000 people DID. It has always been our spiritual home in there so WOW!!
Your musical influences
80s and 90s classic rock/AOR/glam/sleaze/nwobhm, etc.
Basically we are a melodic hard rock band who utilise four-part harmonies in many songs and produce a sound that fans of many different genres can allow themselves to enjoy. We all have different specific influences and this has helped to form the music into something more than just traditional classic sounding rock. We ahve a slightly modern edge that really gets people worked up. Ask the people of Grantham who keep nagging us to go backWhat equipment do you use?
to followAnything else?
We're currently looking for a frontman to replace our last encumbant who decided that he wanted to join another band as well and they were likely to be monopolising his time to the point where we would never have seen him let alone gig with him.
We need someone with a good voice, stage presence and confidence and most of all, experience. We haven't got a specific voice sound in mind, whatever works best works best.
