Coming from a town that was more known for their tourist attractions and festivals, 3 young homeboys by the names of E-Dub, Da Gu and JV3Gs, had a dream to just make GOOD music. They were all close friends and they all shared the same passion and love 4 Hip Hop so they decided to form a group and started rappin together in 2003. Going under the name Elevation 420, they began to start having ghetto studio sessions at their houses and they put out their 1st effort as a group in May of 2005.
Their 1st album, Mixin Da Flowz, was released locally during the Cruisin Nights in Westnachee and if you attended Cruisin, you wouldve seen a group of Mexicans walking around selling cds and performing for the people. The response and sales were good that they continued work on their second album so they could release it the following year. But inbetween recording songs for that album, they realized that Westnatchee had more to offer than just 3 Mexicans. Building a loyal fan base and networking with other local artists, Elevation decided to put together Westnatchees 1st unoffical mixtape titled, "How Do U Like Dem Apples? :The Northwest Mixtape", which featured many local artists from Leavenworth, East Wenatchee and Westnatchee. Once again, the cd was a success during Cruisin of 06 and they continued worked on their 2nd album to be released 2 months later while they perfomed for the 1st time in Seattle.
Now after taking almost 2 years off, Elevation comes back strong with an album that is being sold at the Westnatchee Hastings titled: "Elevation 420 Presents: The Vault" which features 2 new songs and a collection of their previous efforts. With their continued loyalty to the rap game and the Northwest in general, Elevation 420 has always stuck to their roots and never forgetting to always be real with their craft. "What you hear us rapping about is what we do or have done. We dont fake nothing, thats the beauty of Hip-Hop, Keeping it real." Says Da Gu.
Now more determined than ever, they are workin on a new double disc titled "3 Kingz" and an upcoming DVD to be released sometime this year, Elevation plans to shut up naysayers and build an even bigger fanbase. So stay tuned 509, Elevation 420 is on the come up...
