Revenge of the Boom Bap (ft. Ghost Dog & Tuscon) Revenge of the Boom Bap (ft. Ghost Dog & Tuscon)

On this scorching track, I'm joined by Ghost Dog and Tuscon, both members of the NC-based crew the 1100 Hunters. The whole point of this joint was to take wack emcees who are ruining Hip-Hop to task.

I join Tuscon (of the 1100 Hunters) on this track, flexing a double-time flow. Its not something that I normally do, but I think I adapted to Tu's style very well. This is an outtake from Tuscon's album "Killswitch Tu." Produced by Manifest Beats

A re-recording of an earlier song I did, but with a Spock Jenkins beat instead. This was intended for my "Lunatic Fringe" album but was cut from the final track list.

Hip Hop General

In a time where Hip-Hop has been watered down and forced to favor egocentric chants of money, sex, drugs, and living life in the fast lane, North Carolina-based emcee/singer-songwriter Headcase is a throwback to when music was made respectably by artists who put heart and soul into their craft. Headcase (born Nick Napier in May 1987) first started writing his own Hip-Hop songs in 2000, influenced by The Lyricist Lounge Show, but didn't go public with his talent until his first year of High School in 2001. Since then, he has carefully crafted his style and defining what kind of artist he is. Headcase is a full-fledged jack of all trades: he's a rapper, a singer, and a multi-instrumentalist, with his specialty being the guitar. Inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan, B.B. King, and OutKast, he incorporates elements from many different musical genres, such as rock and blues, and mixes different styles together to create an innovative brand of music that is able to appeal to folks from every walk of life. He's an artist that refuses to let himself be boxed into a corner, one that comes around only once in a blue moon. Not for the mainstream, not for the underground, just for the people.
