David Ellis a.k.a "SKORCH" b.k.a Bonafide, is a 16 year old beatmaker from Boston. SKORCH is known for producing Dirty South bangers as well as many other genres of music for artist to create on. "I can tell if u keep at it your not nuthin to b fuked wit..and you a youngin..jus keep doin wut u do!!" says a listener of SKORCH BEATS.
SKORCH is currently promoting his music and working with up and coming artist locally and nationally. SKORCH is also studying music theory and learning to play piano. "Learning just the basics of piano, and scales, and things of that nature have really helped with my creativity and understanding of the sound I produce."
David grew up with a strong passion for music and claims that he knew he wanted to make music ever since he was a child. "I would always hear beats on the radio in the car, or on my computer when I was home, and I always wondered how I could make beats of my own." David set out on his journey earlier than most, he started making beats at the age of 11. "I would be in my room and I would open up FL and try to make beats, I was a really bright kid so I caught the hang of the program pretty quick(jokingly). It took David a few months to master the basics of FL but as time passed, his skills began to develop, and he began to join online beat maker communities. "I began joining beat maker communities to have my beats critiqued by people who didn't know me and wouldn't lie to me, and I didn't care if they said I sucked because all I wanted to do was progress and become a better beat maker." SKORCH got just what he wished for. He was told he was garbage, wack, and every other derogatory word in the book, but SKORCH says its all good. "No Pain, No Gain" says SKORCH.
Although many may like the sound of a SKORCH BEAT, David still thinks there is alot of work to be done. "I have made a big improvement, and I pat myself on the back for that, but I know there is still ALOT of work to be done, You can never be satisfied."
