Growing Up
Green Monstars musical influence was all but inevitable. Introduced and constantly surrounded by music at an early age. Green Monstar, son of a funk drummer, who was an avid study of such greats as James Brown, Tower of Power, Marvin Gay, and many more. Although he lived in several different locations before the age of ten music was the one thing that always remained the same.
Getting Down
While going through many trial and tribulations such as foster care, juvenile commitment, and two state sentences, music was Green Monstars only escape. As a child he learned to use it as a way to vent and express his thoughts, feelings, and emotions. He used music as a way to escape from the reality left behind from bad choices and decisions. It took a second state sentence before he realized music was his only way out.
Visualizing The Dream
Because he was born into a family with endless music contacts and connections. he knew that talent alone would not translate to fame. He had watched his father battle addiction through his short lived career and knew if he didnt surround himself with the right people the dream could end before it even began.
Becoming The Man
It has been 3 years since Green Monstar was released from the hole of cedar junction (MCI) Walpole. Within that time he has recorded 148 tracks mixed and mastered. Released his 26 track solo debut (Live Free or Die).
Preformed with Jim Jones, JR Rida, DJ Chubby Chubb, Terminology, Edo G, Acrobatic, Dre Robinson, Ed Rock, 7l ,esoteric and many ,many, more.
