i'm a rapper/producer with beatbox and old school influences.Band/artist history
i've been listening to hiphop for a while. started freestyle rapping and writing songs in 1999. i also was into the breaking scene from 2000-2002. this is when i was enlightened that there was more to the music, there was an actual culture. i got into beatboxing in the year 2000 and started listening to more old school rap, then eventually got into some of the lesser known current artists. i started producing an album in 2003 and finished it early 2004. i am currently working on another one that will probably be finished next year.
[unfinished]
this album is still in the works. from the feedback of my last, most people liked the rap tracks, and i've also been writing alot. my rhymes are more intricate than the average rapper. i hope i can finish this before 2005 ends. expect the instrumentals to be a mix of "The Roots", "Jurassic 5", and "Kanye West". the song content will not be empty lyrics, expect some deep and personal shit. I hope to inspire and influence with this album.Your musical influences
Buffy (from the fat boys), Rahzel, Ready Rock C(fresh prince's beatboxer), Jurassic 5, Blackthought (from The Roots), and Slick RickWhat equipment do you use?
just a microphoneAnything else?
i just need to get something off my mind. hip-hop is hip-hop is hip-hop. i sick of all these underground heads starting "underground vs mainstream" arguments and listening strictly to nothing but underground shit. saying stuff like "ice cube isn't real hip hop". just because YOU don't like the song doesn't mean its not hip hop. Underground and Mainstream have two different audiences, two different styles, two different messages, but they are both the same genre. so just stop it.Contact
