John Ivins Worship Band is a Christian rock band focusing upon middle/high school and college students.
Worship, spreading the Gospel and motivating others to pursue "God's calling" on their lives are its primary missions, engaging with many different organizations through retreats, worship conferences and church services.
It has evolved from God's "calling" on John's life to active student ministry -- musically and as a speaker.
With John as lead vocalist and worship leader, the Band combines original music with songs many students will recognize by artists such as Lincoln Brewster, Jeremy Camp, David Crowder, and Third Day.
One particularly unique thing the Band does on weekend retreats is to work with student musicians and singers, having them play and sing with the Band. In doing this, the Band seeks to encourage student musicians and singers to pursue their musical interests -- especially back at their local churches.
John also is regularly asked to speak on "Pursuing God's Call." As a bi-vocational worship leader/speaker and lawyer, John has a unique perspective on the topic of "Calling," incorporating stories from the ministry and legal worlds with his own personal testimony and the testimonies of others John has met while exploring with them their own pursuit of "God's Call.
