LOCAL BAND BREAKS UP THE HARD WAY
Local pop dance band Anna S Teazya seemingly
sprung up overnight with several local hit songs
including Turn Around, Bad Boy, and Get Better.
Their popularity spreading to both sides of US1
brought them the kind of recognition and fame
usually reserved for accountants and bean counters.
Last night on OCT 31st which was also Halloween,
Anna S Teazya reported to MIA for their long
awaited world tour. Their first performance was
scheduled for Budokan. They would continue to
tour the Far East, Europe, and end their tour back
in the USA at the Miami Orange Bowl as opening
act for upcoming superstar David Hamilton.
But they were at the wrong airport. Their private
plane was waiting for them at the Tamiami Airport.
The twin prop Sessna was dressed up to look like
the Boeing 747 jet liner that was requested by
Anna S Teazya. (It was Halloween after all)
They would only discover this later, but it would
be too late.
Shortly after takeoff, Anna S Teazya went down
in a fiery plane crash several miles off the Florida
coast after their fuel ran out. There were no survivors.
Interestingly, all of their songs, master tapes, lyrics,
photo's and other paraphernalia washed up on Miami
Beach and was picked up by one of the locals, Pia Stratta,
who is quoted as saying: "They will surely be
missed. "
