Hip Hop General

I am the rebirth of hip-hop in its purest form. My name is Andre Griglen and I am 29 years old based in Sarasota, Florida by way of Panama City, Florida. I am the perfect blend of deep roots hip-hop and dirty south rap. My music is about my life experiences and observations of the world around me. I make music for real people not the wannabe’s. I was once told by a younger local mc that I had a big influence on him because I was a local mc who didn’t just rap but had a message in his music and the lyrical skill to hold an audience. I just completed my 2nd project under Dreizm Productions an album titled, “Reality TV”. On this album not only did I write all of the lyrics but I also produced all of the beats, showing my ability to be a triple threat as a writer, producer and performer. All of my time and energy right now is going into the promotion of my new album. This album is sure to be an underground classic. You can here the frustration of a hip-hop head struggling to make his voice heard in a gangsta-gangsta, lean wit it rock wit it era of hip-hop. You can also hear the pain of losing the closet family member and biggest influence in my life, my uncle Alphonso and the determination to turn hip-hop into a thinking mans game once again. I have been in the local rap game for over 10 years. The first half of my career was spent doing local talent shows in Panama City, FL. and Dothan, AL. where I gained local recognition and notoriety. By word of mouth a local group in Panama City, “Sporty K and Da Drop Bottom Boyz” became interested in having me join their group. Being a virtual baby in the game I learned a harsh lesson in being put on the back burner and waiting for my chance to shine. Needless to say that chance never came so I cut my musical ties with Sporty K and pursued my solo career once again. At a talent show in Panama City I met, Derrick “Mechie” Rodgers, who became my lyrical mentor. Mechie introduced me to B Luv, the hottest producer in the state of Florida, in my opinion. Together we formed “The Floridian Flo Federation”. Working on the album for this group was an adventure in itself due to my coming into man hood and making the decision between the music or the streets. B Luvs other musical ventures and Mechies move to Texas made this group a done deal after one year. While pushing one of my demos around my high school a mutual friend introduced me to, Mike, a guitarist from a local band. Mike played in a band that did mostly rock music but he wanted to work on a more hip-hop influenced project. So Mike and I along with 5 others guys formed a band called, Cede. While in, Cede, I gained experience in live shows, touring, management and dealing with stardom, we gathered a large following. We played shows in cities such as Pensacola, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Gainesville, Florida also Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia to name a few. We were predicted to be the next big thing after Rage Against the Machine, but as we grew older we grew apart. Also, my desire to get back to the basics of hip-hop was overwhelming. So, I hooked up with Mechie and B Luv one last time before relocating to Sarasota, FL. to produce a 6 song EP self titled “Floridian Flow Federation”. My music is real, none of that Hollywood shootem up’ bang bang shit. I’m coming to bring balance to the game. So, if your looking for an artist who can give you real life then take a ride with Dreizm, “Da Best Kept Secret”.
