CICATRIXX- ‘Scars left by a healed up wound’
TO THRASH OR NOT TO THRASH!
Formed inside the sinister depths of Vocalist/Rhythm Guitarist Kabya’s mind, this musical entity believes creating music that incorporates heavy riffs that have a subtle melody, intelligent philosophic lyrics, catchy bass parts and groovy drum patterns.
The band’s philosophy revolves around the fact that everyone around us is scared in one way or the other thus ‘scars’ are something to be embraced. Scars are but a part of our daily existence and thus should be given prominence. Human psychology remains a favorite part of the band’s lyrical themes.
Musical influences include Sepultura, Kreator, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Pantera, Lamb of God, Dream Theater, Pearl Jam, Machine Head, Soulfly, Kataklysm, Children of Bodom, Ugly Kid Joe, Six Feet Under, Dying Fetus, Mudvayne and others.
Non musical influences include the likes of Franz Kafka, Unexplained phenomenon like UFO, Big Foot and the Moth man, Black magic, Hentai, KFC burgers, WWE, street food, books, teen sex comedy movies, Albert Camus, Nazi culture, Adolf Hitler and even Britney Spears!
The band has been through the revolving door syndrome and has seen several line up changes. The current line up includes:-
Abhishek- Drums (fancies himself to be Ulrich’s lovechild!)
Romit-Lead Guitars( hates Hatebreed, loves Machine Head)
Mimo-Bass/vocals (crushes includes Jon Myung, Victor Wooten; has deep interests in Nazis and Hitler in general; loves women who are elder than him!)
Kabya-Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitars ( hates posers, corporate sectors, mosquitoes. Loves poetry, Kafka and books. Wants to have an ‘adda’ session with Max Cavalera, Eddie Vedder, James Hetfield and Rob Flynn called “Spilling the Beans with Kabya”!)Your musical influences
