Quake is me as a solo producer. I also have my band doomsday squad that i use to play me beats live when i do shows with fellow emcees. I aslo score films, that's something i enjoy alot because it allows me to be able to branch outside of hip-hop and create different music. My past is filled with alot of jazz performances on saxophone, which i still play, and classical orchestral music, and alot of indie experimental fusion from my 3 years with the band Groovelight.
At age 10 my parents made me take piano lessons. Turned out it was probably the best thing they ever did for me. I started playing saxophone in sixth grade, i took lessons private lessons until i was a sophomore in college. In seventh grade i was introduced to jazz, that changed my life. I don't think i would have graduated high school if weren't for the outstanding jazz program at the school, i would have no reason to show up if i didn't get a chance to play. Once i was in the top jazz band, i got to leave school to play gigs with the jazz band around kansas city, which in my mind was the coolest fucking thing ever. I started making beats about two years ago, and in that short of time i have produced two albums for local artist, sold tracks to several different local KC artist, and seen progress with my band, Doomsday Squad. I aslo score films, that's something i enjoy alot because it allows me to be able to branch outside of hip-hop and create all kinds of different music, it just another form of expression as an artist. My past is filled with alot of jazz performances on saxophone, which i still play, and classical orchestral music, and alot of indie experimental fusion from my 3 years with the band Groovelight.
