PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK IF YOU LISTEN TO, OR DOWNLOAD, ANY OF MY TRACKS. THANKS YOU Not new to the hip hop scene by any means. My Dad brought Rappers Delight home in 1980 and I was transfixed. From then till now, I have listened to hip hop all the way...apart from when I listen to other stuff!!
Band/artist history
Birth. Aging. Discovery. Integration. Manipulation. Slight realisation. Contemplation. resumption. continuation. enjoyment. Does that sound wack?
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I do not play live as people do not want to watch someone messing with a PC etc. I DJ here and there, playing a mix of hip hop and electronica. Actually...I don't anymore cos the Nags Head fired me for playing Demon Boyz "DETT" track.
Your musical influences
In hip hop, Kool Keith and Ultramagnetic MC's, Company Flow, Hardnoise, Hijack. The UK has a more gritty sound than the US. Other than hip hop, it would be J. Saul Kane, who did Octagon Man and 9 Deadly Venoms etc. My absolute favorite MC of all time is Nobsta Nutts, a Welsh MC who does stuff as Headcase with Slicer, with Lews Tunez and a bunch of others. The guys voice is fucking dope...like almost half sung. Suits the lyrics perfectly...comedy genius. Even if I play the records and someone don't really feel the tracks...they still die on the floor with laughter at Nobsta's rhymes. Woody from Flame-grilled records, who I did the Rufrocka and backpack stuff with, was apparently still in touch with Slicer and that, and I had an idea for a track called "Rock ya Nuts" over the old BreakMachine track where I wanted to change to chorus to "No-one rocks nuts better". I thought it would suit Nobsta and Woody said he'd speak to them, told me he did and they were interested. I never knew for sure but my dream was never realised. Nobsta...if u find your way here...drop me a mail.....xxx
What equipment do you use?
PC. Reason, Acid, Fruityloops, Soundforge, Cakewalk etc. A farty Tascam 4-track. Some effects modules if I can borrow them, although Reason by Propellerheads has all this built into the software.
Anything else?
Turn on, tune in and whatever. Just get on with it. I do my stuff for fun, not for anything else. If others like it, fantastic, if they hate it, fantastic. I will not stop for anything.
