Old Persian for 'the place of gathering'. Ecbatana is supposed to have been the capital of Astyages, which was taken by the Persian emperor Cyrus the Great in the sixth year of Nabonidos (549 BC).

I have gigged internationally with UK dance / dub outfit, Akahum, and worked with various music / multimedia projects in Bristol, including Dub Revolution and the Invisible Circus. I also provided the soundtrack for the acclaimed documentary on human rights in Tibet, "Die Roten Drachen und das Dach der Welt" (Germany, 2007).
