Strongly influenced by progressive rock and drawing from a wide range of genres going from world beat and jazz fusion to symphonic music and free form improvisation, the poligrafists propose ornate musical ladders intended to help fallen angels reach their respective heavens.
Intensely bombastic or deeply introspective, beautifully simple or freakingly complex, overly dramatic or delightfully playful, the music leaves few listeners unmoved, as Poligraf uses every trick in the book to make sure that you get your wings back.
The band presently counts three members :
- Guitarist, keyboardist, and lead vocalist, Christopher Stewart also acts as main composer and band leader.
- Holding degrees in Music Education and Classical Interpretation, full-time member of the Ensemble vent et percussion de Québec, and musical director of the Orchestre dHarmonie Vibrensons, Christian Lavoie fulfills both the roles of drummer and percussionist.
- Already known for his soundtrack to the short film « Falling, » Miguel Puerto cements the band with his confident guitar playing and occasional keyboard contributions.
While in recording mode, various hired-guns will gravitate around the three musicians who form the poligrafic core.
