The group -- Matt Dopson, Devin Buenger, Cliff Welch, Dylan Puckett, and Stirling Buenger functions as an eccentric mix of modern alternative, screamo, and punk, consisting of many different musical backgrounds. We are a fun, yet serious hardcore band, not looking to bring the mosh, but to play the music we love and want to play. Everything was just an idea, a hobby, until the summer of 2006.Band/artist history
Twins, Devin and Stirling Buenger, decided they wanted to stop watching and start playing. So for the next year and a half, they juggled around members until they finally found local singer/screamer Alex Cornejo, and named their small trio Akaterax. As the band continued to progress through what little time they had before the twins left Fairfax, Virginia for Eclectic, Alabama. They played multiple shows, made 16 songs, and over 100 demo CDs. (Some old videos can be found at www.youtube.com.) Meanwhile, longtime friends and band mates, Dylan Puckett and Cliff Welch were waiting for just the right members to make their rock-star fantasies come alive. And in some weird miracle, (this was sometime August of 2007) came Devin and Stirling, wanting to take a more serious approach in their musical career. In a short amount of time, the brothers met Matt Dopson, school quad player and former church singer, while attending the Eclectic United Methodist church (this was October of 2007), and changed their name to Wreckage Before March.Have you performed in front of an audience?Mostly in the central Alabama region
