Express your feelings on the state of the world.
I started producing for local artists in North Carolina three years ago. However, time and time again I found myself disappointed with the state of hip-hop and the artists I was working with. At this point I decided to take matters into my hands and hope I got my point across. Apparently I did. Three months after recording my first track I released my first CD. Now I am nearing the release of my second entitled, Evidence and Experiments. My goal is to open up listeners minds so they can see past the bling factor by which all hip-hop artists are now judged(Thanks MTV!).Band/artist history
Started in Sept. '00 with the founding of Beat-Monger Productions.
Production work from Sept. '00 to present.
March '01 released first solo album.
I have contiously produced tracks and made guest appearances for artists since 2000, and am now gearing up for the release of my next solo album.Have you performed in front of an audience?Never had a live show unless one was to count parties and social functions where some friends and I decided to jump on stage. It is a very empowering feeling though to know you have the attention of everyone surrounding you at that moment.
Your musical influences
Beastie Boys, The Doobie Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Marvin Gaye, The Beatles, Jimmy Buffet, and Kanye West to name a few. However my biggest influence is and probably will remain El-P.What equipment do you use?
