Band/artist history
My musical career started when I was 17 yrs. old in Salinas California. I played in a band that did a "after hours" show from 2 am to 6am in a blues jukejoint called Loyd Luthers Palace. It was a black club filled with "the children of the night" if you know what I mean.We did sets in between strippers. It was a great education! After that I played a various host of bands all up and down the Northwest til I landed in Oakland Calif. where I met and became a member of "The World Famous Alameda Allstars"(Fellow members Brad Gillis-Night Ranger,Danny Chauncey-38 Spec. Rust Allen-Robin Trower ,Ira Walker-Passion Pirates, Stu Blank, and Edie Money to name a few.It was there that through a mutual friend I met Gregg Allman and The Allstars became his backup band for about 10 years. Between Gregory , Brad and Danny who mentored me in many ways about songwriting and perfoming,I then ventured off to forming and fronting my own bands and musical projects.Due to family obligations I re-located to the Sacramento (Capitol of Calif.) and formed " Screamin' Dave and Serious Trouble", produced 2 CDs, played countles shows and still do to this day.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I have been playing live shows since the age of 16.I am know 54 and still going strong.I mostly play Northern California these days, but have played from coast to coast in the past. I love to play live because I love to perform. I'm not one of these guys who just stands there and poses.I like to communicate to an audience and take them for a musical ride that we both can enjoy! One of my favorite shows I did was in S.F. a few years back with Gregg Allman & Friends at the New Years Eve Exotic Erotic Ball for over 20,000 people. The energy that night was so electric to connect with so many other souls and we played our asses off too!
Your musical influences
No#1 has to be the Beatles,Rolling Stones,Allman Brothers,Delbert McClinton,Eric Clapton,Gregg Allman,Muddy Waters,Albert Collins,John Lennon.
What equipment do you use?
Fender Strat, Moon-6 sting Electric GTR,Dean 6 string acoustic GTR,and a Line 6 AX2-212 amp (The best damn amp I've had/used)
