hi there boys and girls. this is some of the stuff off a CD called "having fun?", done back in 1999. artists appearing on the CD are: william richard strickland aka "wild willy", christopher peters and glenn scott, jr.Band/artist history
began learning guitar 1959, first on stage 1962, played with the drifters and coasters in 1964(first time playing with big timers). up until 1965 played mostly rock, r&b, country and even some surf music. took time off from playing out until 1974, and started back at it playing mostly top 40. played about 4-5 nights a week. did the sampler album with other artists and writers in 1978. did a second album in 1980(unreleased-due to conflicts of interest). took more time off from1988 until 1992, then quite a bit of recording, and out playing, old blues, old country and of course old rock. since about 2003, i only occasionally play out, but in all this time i have always had fun with music. i hope you do also.Have you performed in front of an audience?i play live, but only occasionally, and usually with "bad" brad karow's blues pharaohs (damn that is a mouthfull, but tasty old standard blues). my favorite set up with brad is, him on drums and vocals, johnny "B" on guitar and vocals, and of course me on bass. mostly in san diego for the gigs.
Your musical influences
pretty much everything i hear (i don't get much enjoyment out of hip hop or rap- i really don't care much for the cuss words or promoting hate)What equipment do you use?
sure mics, 1961 gibson sg, ovation for accoustic, ibanez 4 string bass, roland jazz chorus 160 amp, and of course a bunch of other stuff.Anything else?
remember we are just "having some fun", so don't take us too seriously.
