"The Thinking Man's Power Pop", "The way driving around on a sunny day with the windows down feels", "The lyrical creativity of Billy Joel sung with the passion of Bon Jovi". These are just a few statements that have been used to describe the music of David DiMuzio. Unlike so much of the pop and rock music in the mainstream today though David's music speaks for itself. His songs are catchy enough that you'll love them the first time you hear them, but only grow to like them more upon every single new listen. Remember the time you sat down with a lyric sheet and read every lyric while you listened intently waiting in anticipation to hear what the next verse is going to say...how the last chorus is going to change. The moment to do that again has arrived with the February 2008 release of David DiMuzio's first full length album "Not Alone"!
Band/artist history
If Cirque Du Soleil and Bon Jovi put on a concert together it would be very similar to a David DiMuzio show. Twenty-two year old David DiMuzio has performed from Bangkok to the Bahamas and everywhere in between as the youngest headline entertainer in the history of: Disney, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Holland America, Kunard, and Norwegian Cruise Lines. At eleven years old David learned how to juggle...around the same time he started singing and writing songs. He started juggling just because it was fun, and writing songs because he thought that if he ever got good enough maybe someday he would meet his idol Billy Joel. At sixteen David won the International Juggling Associations World Juggling Championships. Agents who saw him at the event soon learned that he also sang and played guitar in a one man show that mixed all three of his skills together. These and other agents soon started booking him around the world in hundreds of theaters(Atlantis, Walt Disney, Stardustetc), youth conferences (F.B.L.A. H.O.B.Y etc), and on cruise lines. Failing miserably at first, and getting fired off his first cruise line because he had no clue what he was doinghe worked extremely hard to put together a show that would blow anyone away!! Soon the Power Pop Juggling of: David DiMuzio was one of the hottest shows in the industry!!! Booked on the road three hundred + days a year for four years straight performing in theaters gave David plenty of time to write songs and date girls from every continent but Antarctica, but gave him no time to record the album he wanted to. Finally in 2007 he met a young up and coming producer named Brad Hill from Los Angeles, and they decided to start working on a record together picking from the hundreds of great songs David had written over the years. Recording fifteen songs for the album Not Alone they picked the best of the best to come up with an AMAZING eleven song album of what has been described as The thinking mans power pop!. David will be releasing Not Alone independently the beginning of February 2008 to a fast growing group of loyal fans who cant get enough of the clever melodies and lyrics of David DiMuzio.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I LOVE playing live. It's essential. Performing at the HOBY Ohio South youth conference in 2007 was one of my favorite shows of all time. Five standing ovations in one show..I'm looking forward to topping that. What a BLAST!! I love people from Ohio!
