L.O.Quent, The Lucid Wonder, is a up and coming hip-hop artist hailing from Fort Worth, Texas. As a spoken word artist and a poet, L.O. Quent uses his gift for gab to create what he calls "lyrical poetry". His style varies from comical to reflective, as he is multi-faceted. He prides himself on helping bring Hip-Hop back its luster, through his clever metaphors, his flexible delivery, and his powerful words. As his predecessors before him, he continues the art of rhyming with a purpose. He is truly eloquent.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I have done several spoken word events in the area, which I do enjoy. I am looking forward to working with other artists/rappers/lyrical poets in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, as well as the country.
Your musical influences
I love hip-hop artists like Nas, Common, Mos Def, Rakim, Talib Kweli, Jurassic 5, Blackalicious, Outkast, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, The Beatnuts, Wu Tang Clan, The Outsidaz, Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, etc. I really love Old School Hip-Hop like Slick Rick, Dougie Fresh, Kool Moe Dee, Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane, Kid-N-Play, Heavy D, KRS-One, Kurtis Blow, Africa Baambaata, Soul Sonic Force, The Beastie Boys, etc.
What equipment do you use?
Just the Mic. and my brain. :)
