Band/artist history
Funda Boy - Started out Skateboarding at the age of 11 and the only hip hop i knew about at the time was jump around by house of pain and some will smith shite, later on as i grew in my skateboarding and the real world i heard eminems real slim shady, everyone was going crazy over it while i thought it was a bit shit and so anyways i stuck up for different elements of rap at the time, saying how good Dr.Dre was compared to eminem, Listening to this just branched out so much stuff, Cypress hill, Wu Tang and loads of other Gangster Rap. Finally one day i got a Cd in the post from a mate of mine down south Called bigger than hip hop, it was just a cd he had put together for me but contained stuff like, Rodney P, Roots manuva, Squarepusher, cLOUDdead, Mark Smith Feat. Inch and more british stuff. being 13 by this time i Decided that everyone wanted to be Firemen and Astronauts and i wanted to be a uk hip hop artist. So i Finally got myself a microphone and Pop sheild and started recording. Only problem was my voice sounded like a blazin squad shitheads and my lyrics were all about how i Would beat you up and Smoke some weed, Pretty much wat theyre about now but More decorated. anyway, In 2003 i met Rob Gobshite (Spoken Volumes) after knowing Vaguely knowing Dj Ecal for some time, We met up and did some Unreleased Collabs and he helped me a lot with my writing, He also introduced me to acts like taskforce which influenced my writing a lot. Today i look up to people like Jehst and Klashnekoff for lyrical Influence and just keep writing.
