Hip Hop General

As listeners, Hip Hop fans are on a constant pursuit to find a perfect sound that blends power, energy, and depth. The average listener must sift through endless piles of carbon copy lyrics, accompanied by uninspired beats, before finding the much sought after gem that is a rare and talented artist. In some ways, Hip Hop has become more a tiresome search, than a tool for mental liberation, as it was once intended to be. The Alpha, or beginning, is when you turn your radio on to search for a vibe, or, when you step into a store to pick up a new album. The end is when you are touched by a sound so enticing, so compelling that your heart, mind, and soul is thrust into instant bliss. That end is Omega1. Robert W. Armstrong Jr. came to this world in 1979, in the heart of Panama City, Panama. The young Omega stepped into the world with music coursing through his Panamanian veins. His father, Robert Sr., is an avid musician that played regularly with James Brown, and had a long flourishing career in the US Army band. The seed of music began to bud in High School, when Omega1 started writing lyrics. In 1998 he joined the military and continued composing. In the fall of 1999 he performed at a talent search for Showtime at the Apollo and received a standing ovation after stunning the crowd with inviting hooks and energetic Spanish-accentuated lyrics. He was asked to return and open for BET's Comicview when they visited FT. Hood, TX. After leaving military life, Omega took a small hiatus from music to pursue an opportunity to be an on air personality at one of the hottest radio stations in Texas, KQBT The BEAT 104.3. He was known to millions of listeners as Maestro, an alias that he uses during Spanish lyrics. He is currently working hand in hand, with Upper Hand Productions to bring his special brand of English and Spanish lyrics to a nation wide audience. The hunt for the apex of Hip Hop artistry is nearing its end. The end is OMEGA1.
