South Florida Hardcore at its best!
Band/artist history
Hailing from the deepest swamps in the glades. Coming by way of Ft. Liqourdale, Florida. We bring you the old “Bolt Action” Don’t you know about that old Liqourdale style? Well, listen and learn baby. Because we speak not a loose level, neither small talk nor babble. When you speak of true red-blooded integrity, discipline, unity, loyalty, and pride, be ready to take you a walk on the wild side. Bolt Action’s music represents a vast spectrum of thought and sound. Founded on the principles of American pride, working class honor, and getting nice and loose. Bolt Action brings it rugged and raw. When you listen to songs like “Ten Fold” and “In Stride”, you hear forty combined years of South Florida hardcore and metal expertise. Demonstrated in the most brutal, cutting edge fashion currently available. Call it an ancient prototype or a dastardly device, but T. Black said it best; “My head and my feet are in a paradox” Pair of Doc’s So don’t fool around with the all-weather pro. We can only be speaking of lead vocalist T. Black. A veteran performer having been a part of many projects including; Dys Belief (S. FL death metal pioneers), Bully Crew (Lauderdale style boot boi hip-hop), 7Sins (Experimental hip-hop/jungle), along with collaborating many times over the years with the likes of; #1 Diablo, Bee Tee (Paleface), Colorblind, along with other groups of unsavory characters. Turning back the date to the late eighties; we enter guitarist big “Dee Mulligan” and drummer “Del” a.k.a. “Jimmy Goodfoot”. The two of them along with vocalist T. Black were all founding members of South Florida death metal heroes “Dys Belief”. After disbanding and moving in different musical directions they have reunited with a vengeance, and a true-blue flavor that any real hardcore enthusiast will gladly devour. Along the way a couple of nomads joined the tribe. Namely guitarist “Rob Robinson” a veteran of the scene. Originally from Staten Island a.k.a. Shaolin NY, as well as a mysterious individual who goes by the name of “King Ping”. I frankly know nothing about the latter, but with an old salt like Rob Robinson on the git-fiddle, and Pingolio on the 5-strang, you best be ready for what you unleash when you push the “play” button. All subtlety aside, Bolt Action is one of the baddest hardcore bands the genre has ever produced. This record, tentatively titled “Pause for the Cause” is a must for any collector, as well as a living testimony and representation of hardcore for any neophyte. If you like your music brutal, heavy, and chock-full of street barbecue flavor, combined with blood, sweat, and beers, cop Bolt Action Oi Jones Jr.
