Band/artist history
Formed from the ashes of Tel-Quel Bateman came together in 1997 featuring three members of that band Doug, Adam, and Scott started up again with a different guitarist and Adam covering the bass duties, then after losing their guitarist Adam moved into the guitarist's shoes and Michael Ord was installed as Bassist, soon to be replaced by old Tel Quel Roadie Mike McLaughlin who had spent the time between Tel-Quel and the start of Bateman going through puberty and his GCSE's and then learning to play bass guitar the lineup (bar a few hiccups three years ago) has been stable ever since, performing their own brand of Rock and Roll to a combination of willing audients and worried headline acts across the North East.
Recently lost original member Adam Laybourn to be replaced by Craig StClair in order to carry on making music, although the band have recently ceased to be (Early in 2005) they can still be heard here and their second (and best) release "This Is Not An Exit" is currently being uploaded hopefully followed by some other less known material, live stuff and demos eventually.
