Your Time Has Come Your Time Has Come

A rather ambient sounding piece that builds up in the middle.

The Gateway The Gateway

I've been starting to get a little more into using arpeggio sequences by this point. They're cool. =P

Well, what can I say? This is really just me messing around with a bunch of music instrument, sequencing and sampling software. It’s very electronic and stuff. As well as original material, I also tend to like to do covers of video game music, however I'm not going to post those here, in order to avoid potential conflicts of the AUP on this site. Needless to say, it’s really all for fun and I don’t really plan on going anywhere big with it, however I wouldn't mind composing or at least contributing to an OST for either a video game or animated series. One thing that you should know is that I don't really do lyrics. Most of my stuff is instrumental, with a few samples every now and then. So yeah, definitely not radio single material. =P
Band/artist history
MIDI sequencing is something I’ve been playing around with since around 2000. It’s just something that always kind of amazed me back in the day. Actually, the first time I started playing around with MIDI software was in 1996, back when Windows 3.1 was still slightly popular. For some reason 3.1 came with that cool little MIDI editor and it was neat. That’s when I was first introduced to the concept. I wasn’t very musical then so it involved a lot of me just screwing around. In 2002 I started playing around with Creative Rythmania, which sucks, but was still cool for things like improvisation. In around late 2003, a friend of mine told me about some stuff he made in FL Studio 3. I was vastly interested in what the guy came up with, so I thought I’d check it out. It was weird at first but I quickly got the hang of it. Unfortunately, I lost my really old material, which makes me sad. In early 2004 was when I really started getting into it. At first I made some little things for a game mod that me and a friend were working on but abandoned. I enjoyed working with the software though so I kept on making stuff with it. And the rest is history.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
No.
Your musical influences
Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM, Aphex Twin, Machinae Supremacy, The Prodigy, MuteMath, Depeche Mode, PIG, Pitchshifter, Team Sleep, Filter, Linkin Park, and various other electronic artists, as well as various sound tracks for animated TV shows and video games.
What equipment do you use?
Well, what can I say? It’s just kinda me and a bunch of software toys. Everything is sequenced and arranged in FL Studio and rendered in FL Studio, with a few edits now and then in some 3rd party sound editors. That’s pretty much it.
