Axe Hacking Motorcycle Maniacs Axe Hacking Motorcycle Maniacs
Electroid drum'n'bass-ish little diddy. Vaguely reminiscent of oldskool videogame music, I think at least... You be the judge.
Dulces Sueños Dulces Sueños
A smooth guitar lick accompanied by laidback beats & some minor glitchy sounds...
Think About It, Tortillas For Breakfast Every Day Think About It, Tortillas For Breakfast Every Day
Think About It, Tortillas For Breakfast Every Day... A Prospect to consider... Oh and btw, this is an unfinished breakbeat/noise experiment...
Duizend & Een Noot Duizend & Een Noot
"Duizend & Een Noot / A Thousand & One Notes" A klezmer inspired swingin' little diddy...
Is it music?
Is it noise?
Is it remotely enjoyable?
Is it a waste of time?
You be the judge...Band/artist history
1889 - MdW gets called into existence by a group of occultists seeking distraction from bourgeoisie muzak.
1895 - Releases his 1st hitsingle: "Are you that stupid that you just can't see this is how it works?", which deals with metaphysics & boldy goes against all laws of nature. A witchhunt was called in Lousiana, even though the song itself hardly mentioned witches.
1903 - Joins a choir of Tibetan monks to broaden his musical horizon, but returns only a week later after realising how cold it is in the Himalayas. Again, there were hardly any witches involved, but a second witchhunt was called in Louisiana.
1914 - World War One erupts, but oblivious to it all, MdW continues work on his second hitsingle: "10 things you've always wanted to know about the oncoming slaughter". Naturally it was banned in Germany.
1933 - Nine people perish in flames, and two die of yet to be determined causes, most likely involving sewing-needles. MdW is taken into custody on charges of mass-murder. Three days later he is released, free of charges, on account of having proved a point about existencialism.
1934 - The follow-up single, concerning his three day experience in jail causes a massive riot in Attica penitentiary, resulting in the unfortunate mutilation of several inmates. An all-out ban on music is called throughout correctional facilities worldwide, and of course Lousiana calls for another witchhunt.
1950 - Having spent years contemplating the consequences of his actions, MdW reemerges into the public sector with the smash-hitsingle: "It's not my fault people can't think for themselves". Another witchhunt is planned in Lousiana, but never gets executed due to a lack of witches.
1962 - MdW writes a musical score for the independant motion picture: "Up yours", an insightfull journey into homo-eroticism.
1969 - A convention is scheduled to take place in St. Petersburg, bearing the name: "Why my music should appeal to hippies", but MdW is left standing in an empty conference hall because all the hippies preferred to go to Woodstock.
1970 - Witchcraft is legalised in Louisana, and MdW is invited as the guest of honour at the Broomsticks & Pointy Hats Society's newyears bash.
1980 - The eighties rear their ugly head and MdW sees himself forced to go into hibernation.
1990 - MdW plays it safe and decides to continue sleeping for a few more years. Meanwhile in Lousiana the Broomsticks & Pointy Hats Society collapses, and another witchhunt is called to celebrate.
1996 - Second re-entry into reality is heralded by the release of yet another hitsingle, called: "Did I miss much?". Eighties idols Tears For Fears and Erasure launch a protest campaign and ultimately force MdW to catch up on the gap in his musical awareness.
1998 - Decides it has been a blast, and announces his retirement from music in general, wanting to focus on things that actually make a difference.
1999 - After realising that nobody actually gives a shit about things that make a difference, and that they'd all prefer Britney Spears any day, MdW picks up where he left off and releases his best-selling album: "A steady 4/4 beat and not too much tonal variation". The album reaches platinum in 18 countries, and MdW is declared the saviour of audible air-pressure changes.
2000 - MdW becomes active as a defender of all things beneficial to the cause, and remains active as such up to this present day.Have you performed in front of an audience? You mean as in the opposite of playing dead?
Your musical influences
During the course of my life, I have been influenced by virtually anything that makes any kind of sound, whatsoever. This has resulted in very awkwardly sounding symphonies involving bodily noises and the sound of breaking glass.
It was only four days ago that I found out that other people are doing similar things, only far more succesfully due to the fact that they are taking into account a crucial factor, namely if sounds good or not... So as of now, I have decided to let myself be influenced on a slightly more selective basis. I might even consider using harmonies...What equipment do you use?
