John Russell, Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter has fought his way through various musical avenues to finally end up yet again alone. Hanging up his Gibson he reached for his acoustic guitar and has never looked back. John's music demonstrates uplifting, melancholy acoustic tunes with a soulful and often darker edge as well as full on rock tunes that retain their acoustic foundation. Critics have already described him as 'Cat Stevens meets Kiedis' a fitting indication of the mix of influences which makes John Russell something special. John has worked hard to perfect his unique sound creating instantly memorable songs combined with melodic choruses and classic finger picking guitars all topped off with hes soulful, meaning felt vocals. John Russell is currently recording his debut album (From my hands) scheduled for release this summer. In the meantime he will be playing a series of dates around the Midlands, as well as occasional shows in London in front of an ever-growing number of industry admirers!
