Southern merk rap at it's best! Time to bring New Orleans back homie.......
Long before Cash Money and No Limit exposed the world to the New Orleans gumbo style of rap, NUTT KAZE was building a road into the music industry. During the early 90's Darian "NUTT KAZE" Clayton found himself involved in many ciphers. It was in these ciphers that NUTT KAZE realized his dream of becoming a lyrical master.
In 2000 NUTT KAZE got his first opportunity in the music industry dropping his first solo album "NUTT KAZE Vol.1," on self-owned record label UnderGround Funk Entertainment.
In late 2001, NUTT KAZE was back in the lab more focused than ever. This time was more intense and he had more to prove. In early 2002, his second solo album entitled "It's Time" hit the streets.
While taking a short break in 2003, in 2004 released his first video "F@#$ed Up" from his forth coming album with "Big Chan" of Snoop Dogg Doggy's Angles and label mate "YG" aka Gunna. Nutt also touched into the mixtape scene dropping his first mixtape "Da Championship Vol.1"
NUTT KAZE has ripped shows from the Rendevous, Sweet Lorraine's, The Warehouse, The Bus Stop and Tipitina's in New Orleans to name a few. Along with live performances and video airplay on WREK T.V.on Cox 78, All Good In The Hood on Fox 8/WGNO 26, Hip Hop & Fashions on Cox 77, The Mixtape Show on Cox 77 and Art-n-Soul Productions "New Orleans Urban Music Showcase."
In 2005 once again NUTT KAZE was set to destroy the music scene. From dropping underground mixtapes with Cleveland Ohio best DJ Mick Boogie album entitled "Dirty Work/Trip Thru The Dirty South" hosted by Young Buck, Crack DVD, DJ E.Nyce,etc. But as the year excelled, something bigger than rap occurred!
Now in the mid of 2005 NUTT KAZE found himself in one of the worst situations possible.... the lost of his son! Not understanding why God called on this unbelievable matter, he recalls that he was only 4 years old why chose him chose me instead! But not long after being shell shocked from his lost another devasting hit came!
As a resident of Louisiana, NUTT KAZE withness the aftermath of the hurricane as it destroyed majority of the south coast. Now withsomething bigger than life itself, this devastion delayed the dreams and movements that NUTT Kaze had in stored for the remaining of the year.
In 2006 things looked better. NUTT KAZE found himself more focused determined with higher goals. With joint ventures with Streets MOS Magazine as a writer as well as being a part of a New York based rap group named "T.H.E.M." while also in the making of his own clothing line.
In 2007, NUTT KAZE is playing major roles as an artist and a CEO/Businessman with co-CEO Harold Hebert with releases scheduled to drop throughout the year. Also, NUTT KAZE will be releasing an original solo album in late 2007/early 2008 with guest apperances by artists suc as Cash Money/Young Money Curren$y, Nutt da KId Kid of Suad Up, Big Chan of Snoop Dogg Doggy's Angles just to name a few, as well as an original group album and mixtape from the "SB's" "Swagga Boy$ and a NUTT KAZE and JAY STARR project.Band/artist history
I'm a young veteran if you ask me! Since the late 90's I've been all over with this rap thang, just trying to groom myself. From starting out recording and gigging out of my hometown of LaPlace(SJP), Louisiana until I moved out to the 7th ward and 9th ward of New Orleans to the streets of New York, Miami, etc. I started out as an artist, but now I'm my own CEO so I look at life at a different angle. I have worked with numerous amount of artist(s) and d-jays from every part of the world from known to unknown. That part has made me a better artist overall.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yah, honestly anywhere....as long as the people feeling the swag, I'll play any where..the club, auditoriums, church, the hood, in front the president it wouldn't matter to me! lol Too many special times to name just one.
