The Summer Song The Summer Song
A song, about summer and happy things. Ironically, we wrote this in February
The DDE song 2 The DDE song 2
A relaxing acoustic song with a Spanishy vibe, and, you may have guessed, the second song to come from the band
The DDE song 3 The DDE song 3
Another nice relaxing song, but a bit more cheery than song 2. Martin being the human drum machine. I think he got a bit bored in this one.
SuperTim SuperTim
A song about a lad named Tim, from Witnesham. Part one of an epic saga.
Hello. Welcome to The David Donaghy Experience's SoundclickmabobleBand/artist history
Wellll, it started in year 9 or 10 I think, when Rob, David and Charles wanted to use the music room for a bit of a jam, but for some reason Ms Faulkner assumed we were a band, or said we had to be a band to use it or something, so on impulse we told her that we were called the David Donaghy Experience. And so jammed as such.
A few jams later, David came up with a song, listed here as The DDE Song 1, he taught it to Rob and Charles and we played it at school, everyone loved it of course simply because it was David...
We then made a few more random songs, as our music talents progressed further. Somehow Martin ended up in the songs simply by being there at the time of recording, but makes a welcome addition to the band.
Fairly recently (2006 sometime) David found a proper singer called Jonathon (Jon) and invited him to come and join the band.
He accepted, and the David Donaghy Experience gained it's present lineup.
Sadly, Martin and Jon are going to Warwick university soon, so we'd better get a bloody move on and write some good stuff :)Have you performed in front of an audience?Played some live gigs at school... Planning some pub gigs sometime in the near future. Playing in front of people is the best :D
Special moments... hmm well there was that time when basically everyone forgot how Last Train Home went so we were practically jamming it, and no-one noticed :D
Your musical influences
Many bands. All the ones we listen to.
Most prominent are pop/rock bands like The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys, and FeederWhat equipment do you use?
the old but good gear we have in the shedAnything else?
err yeah, it seems none of us have any fixed role in the band, its more a case of who wants to play / sing what. Just thought i'd Mention it
