mmmm What can I say but there are some very bad but also some very good moments in this mix. That "bass" vocal is too loud and irritating, the beats are not too bad, and there are some happy melody lines. This does not sound like a finished studio production, it sounds like a pirate radio station in the 90s or a live dj mixing hard-core (the 16 year olds used to knock up some really irritating music of this type in their bedrooms but some was ok) at an event. That is my review, good and bad points, the listener has to take the rough with the smooth. (Hardcore you know the score!)

This is a very produced and structured mix, but there is overuse of sound effects in places that make it sound less professional. If you wish to have a section with sound effects try to find a similar but not identical one, pitch change it do something please.

The structure is a little uncertain in places. My score is seven out of ten if this is meant to be a polished production and my opinion is there are maybe too many ideas in the mix although it may be your intention as it is a tribute to Ejay sound selection. Furthermore if this mix is intended to be more like a live dj set mix instead of a studio production then the score could be risen to a 9 maybe. I would suggest you keep this style of mix to a one off as I do not think it will progress you musically, but hey it must have been a lot of fun making it. My score for that is 10 out of 10, and a very enjoyable listen too. All this work has made me forget that making music is supposed to be fun too.

I agree with Katy. In fact those "tacky" vocals that do not really go well with the melody which is why there are uneccessary breaks in flow to accomodate them. You need to try and produce the mix without vocals first. To build a mix round vocals is usually not a good idea in my opinion.

interesting sounds...love the synths...very versatile and keeps my curiosity going...energetic...great f/x...sounds kinda spacey...reminds me of a movie i watched in the 80's space encounters of the 3rd kind....the synths sound so good I think they could be used better in a dance mix with a good bassline and possibly sold for production to someone like lady gaga or rihanna or pit bull or usher to make some bad ass vocals to it

I like the melody and bassline...not crazy about the vocals....they are repeated too much...I think this mix is produced well with the melody and percussion and synths all layered very professionally, you have been doing music for so long that I believe you are ready to start using better vocals in your tracks...when you have such an awesome baseline and melody going a cheesy sounding vocal can really bring down the overall quality of the mix....I would suggest to make your vocals better get inspired by laying down the baseline and melody and making up your own lyrics or finding perfect vocals and find the right sounds to go with them....you are too professional now to use one lyric like break it down throughout a mix...listen to some artists like dj tiesto and see how he uses many different singers for his music...you are ready to do the same with yours to put your creativity and skill to a higher level of producing music

This mix has the potential to score 10 out of 10 because the structure, vocals, and hook melody lines, breaks, drops of the drums when needed etc. after 49 seconds are excellent. It remiinds me of old skool electro/tech house. The mix is ruined in my opinion by a crash that has way too much presence and loudness in the mix at times especially during the introduction, it threatens to spoil flow of a great mix. Also I like the wind and sound effects but yet again, the same ones are repeated too much at the early part of the mix. Please accept this as a review as I have a massive backlog of reviews to do. My final score is 8 out of 10, despite what I have said which is critical, other than that this is one of your best mixes for ages.

This mix begins with some lovely dreamy pads, after which there is very well executed layer build. This begins with a percussion (hats etc), bass drum then bass line, and finally the return of the pad. The resulting musical theme continues until the one minute 6 second position of the mix. After which time there is a break/bridge where the drum pattern leaves the mix leaving the bassline and pads behind for a a 'moment of reflection' for the listener. This works well but I wonder if the bassline leaving too would have enhanced thsi moment. Anyway after the return of the percussion, then drum pattern at the 1 minute 13 second position of the mix a new series of faster acid bass techno lead enter the mix. The result is a more exciting theme to the composition which works well to the two minute mark. From this point despite the slight over use (but not too bad this time) of a 'whale' sound effect, the bass is actually dropped at last resulting in a a very dreamy mellow moment when the

Ha Ha this is not break beat, it is 80s style electro, little brother to 80s house. It is has nice jazz style percussion, and I love the bass and the slow build of instruments. It flows lovely. One thing missign is an occasional crash or cymbal. The mix was in desperate need for one around the 2 minute 54 second mark. I do love your snare fills though. Also in my opinion could be personal taste the composition is too long, although it fades out nicely.

It starts a bit basic but after about 30 seconds soem nice layers of sounds that actually fit each other. Sometime Shari you use sounds that do not seem to have a reason for being in the mix, but you have got it right. This is some excellent sci fi techno. My score is 9 out of 10.

This mix is competent enough but seems slightly haphazard and disorganised. For background music to a computer game or video animation or sci fi chase scene is great though.

The mix is very good, suitable for a movie score. The piano and strings, especially the plucked one towards the middle of the mix are super. The orchestral drums really add some dramtic atmosphere. Having listened again to this mix maybe the punchy drum is ok, as the rest of the composition is emotional and respectful. My overal score is 10 out of 10.

it sounds like high energy trance to me....you definitely need to shorten your basslines and add more versatility to your mix by using breaks and melody changes, it gets monotonous, you do have an excellent ear for layering your sounds and if you can get the versatility and breaks down your production would definitely be worth 5 stars every time...i think that you are overdoing the cymbal sounds in your latest mixes and trying to use them as f/x instead of percussion fills..as a percussion player it sounds odd to me maybe if you had some triangle and timpani drums with it...I give my reviews with honesty, sincerity and respect to help you get honest feedback to make your production 100% worth a 5 star rating~much love DA

The mix is generally very good. I would regard it as Techno but not really dance music. For one thing there are sections which go on too long to maitain excitement in a club situation. In my opinion the pad/strings should have left the mix initially when the first rhythmic lead synth enters, returning later. I like the 3 minute 40 seconds-ish drop of the drums, leaving the pad/strings to play mellowly on their own for a bridge section. Generally though the structure is good and there is sensible variations, and my score is 8 out of 10.

There is something I really like about this track. It of course as a lesser commercial appeal, and has a rather unexpected structure, but all in all it is excellent and as sureal as its title. 10 out of 10 for originality and creativity. Happy New Year

Shari this I give 9 out of 10 because it flows well and there are some beautiful melodies which lead to a climax but this has a limited audience although it is great for chillout rooms.
